Bills Free Agents Least Likely to Return in 2026

Larry Ogunjobi - DL
Ogunjobi is 31 years old and just had a very underwhelming season in Buffalo. After signing a 1 year 8.3 million dollar deal last offseason with the Bills, Ogunjobi earned himself a 6 game suspension for PEDs. After the suspension, his performance was sub-par only racking up 19 tackles and 0 sacks in 10 games. Given his lack of production, Buffalo's cap situation, and the depth of younger and cheaper guys on the D-line, I can't see Ogunjobi suiting up for the Bills in 2026.
DaQuan Jones - DL
Jones is 34 years old, coming off his 4th season in Buffalo. While slightly more productive than Ogunjobi, Jones racked up 22 tackles and 3 sacks, he still finds himself on my list of players I can't see in a Bills uniform next year. Jones age and the Bills cap situation are not working in his favor.
Jordan Phillips - DL
Phillips has been on and off the Bills roster so much the last few years its tough to keep track of. With Sean McDermott gone, its tough to see the door open for a return to Buffalo. Phillips is a good leader and was a difference maker in his first 2 stints with the Bills but last season it seemed as age (33) had caught up to him. Even with DaQuan Jones and Larry Ogunjobi (2 other defensive lineman) on my list of players I don't see returning to Buffalo in 2026, Jordan Phillips is there too. Ed Oliver, Deone Walker, TJ Sanders, DeWayne Carter and recently re-signed Phidarian Mathis are all under contract for 2026 making it tough to see Buffalo re-signing any of its other defensive lineman hitting free agency.
Jordan Poyer - S
Poyer is another player with multiple stints in Buffalo. He was a great safety in his prime and one of my favorite players to watch on defense in recent years. At 34 years old, Poyer has been slowing down and is not the big-play making guy he used to be. If it weren't for all the injuries to the Bills safety group, I doubt Poyer would have been back this past season. With McDermott gone, and big changes coming to the defensive scheme, its time to move on from the fan favorite safety.
Joey Bosa - ED
While Bosa flashed at times this year, and the Bills need all the pass rush help they can get, I don't think a return to Buffalo in 2026 is something I'd bet on. The biggest reason is the Bills salary cap situation. Bosa signed a 1 year contract with the Bills last offseason for 12.6 million dollars and is projected to get slightly more this year in free agency. Bosa had 29 tackles, 5 sacks, and 5 forced fumbles in 15 games with the Bills in 2025. At 30 years old, with some good years still left, if money wasn't an issue I'd welcome his return. Even though it would prove me wrong, I'd still be excited to see him back next year. I think Bosa looks for a bigger contract than the Bills can offer in free agency this year.
